Life Insurance With A Medical Condition
Every condition we have written a page about, 38 of them, A to Z.
Having a medical condition does not mean you cannot be insured, and it does not mean you will be. Acceptance, price and any exclusions are always the insurer's decision, so the only honest thing anybody can tell you in advance is what happens next and what to have ready.
Each page explains what the condition is, why it comes up on an application, and what we would ask you. Cannot see yours? Give us a call. The list is what we have written up, not a list of what can be arranged.
Before you start
The single most useful thing you can do is answer the medical questions fully and accurately, including treatment, tests and specialist referrals rather than only diagnoses. An application that leaves something out is the commonest reason a claim is examined rather than simply paid, and that is a far bigger risk than most of the conditions on this list. Cover with a pre-existing condition explains the process that is the same whatever you have.

Your condition is not on the list
That is not a sign there is a problem. This is a list of pages we have written, not a list of what can be arranged, and most applications involve something that does not have a page of its own. The process is the same: tell us what the condition is, when it was diagnosed, how it is managed and whether anybody other than your GP is involved, and we will find out what is actually available to you.
